"Wrapped in Love"
"I want to share with you a little about the "wrapped in love" necklace. It was inspired by the friend who helped me begin my jewelry design endeavor. She was my encouragement and support while my husband deployed. She had and still has breast cancer in both breasts. I took her to her treatments downtown and saw the way the disease affected her and her family. We were a great support to each other! Her breast cancer not only affected her immediate family, but mine as well. I was moved by her strength and courage. I saw the fear in her eyes in times of doubt. I designed the necklace to be a symbol for anyone touched by the disease, either directly or indirectly, of love, peace and hope. So I named the piece "wrapped in love". I continue my jewelry design career and she continues her life, but we were both touched by breast cancer. I am eternally grateful to her for her love and support and this is my way of showing my gratitude and love in return. The necklace has an "breast cancer awareness" clasp closure. When the woman wearing the necklace feels "Wrapped In Love" then I have completed my goal for one more survivor! I will make each necklace in the same general design, but as I make each of my pieces...no two will be exactly the same.
