THURSDAY, April 21, 2011
MEET AND GREET for festival faculty, guest artists, professional dancers/ companies and teachers ONLY RUST LOUNGE 918 Gervais St., Columbia, SC, 29211(in the Vista next to Motor Supply) 6:00-9:00pm Food, music, and a chance for teachers to have a one on one with our visiting artists This event is reserved to festival faculty, invited guests, professional companies, and teachers.
FRIDAY Festival registrants will be divided into 3 groups: 1, 2 and 3, identified by color-coded wrist bands to be worn at all times by Festival participants. Wrist bands will also serve to identify Festival registrants for admission to the Informal Showcase and Gala Performance.
8:45 am: ORIENTATION (All Festival Registrants should be seated in the audience of the theater)
CLASS 1 - 9:00-10:30 am: three parallel classes see Master Schedule for detailed class schedule for each color-coded group of students, with class location and teacher's name.
CLASS 2 - 10:45 am -12:00 noon: three parallel classes
LUNCH 12:00 noon - 1:00 pm
CLASS 3 - 1:00-2:30 pm: Aerial Workshop and Hip-Hop class, 1/2 of the students will attend each, see Master Schedule
CLASS 4 - 2:45-4:00 pm: Aerial Workshop and Hip-Hop class, student groups will switch, so that ALL students will have a chance to attend the Aerial Workshop and the Hip-Hop class, see Master Schedule for details
AUDITION WORKSHOP 4:15-5:30 (ALL FESTIVAL REGISTRANTS-ON STAGE) any dancers wanting to audition for apprentice and/or company positions in Vibrations Dance Company or Sapphire Moon Dance Company may do so during this workshop which will be run like a real audition. Those students actually auditioning will be given a number. Those students NOT auditioning will still be taken through the full audition process as well.
OPEN STAGE, 5:30-6:30 pm this is time for groups showing pieces in the Informal Showcase to use the stage. There are no set times for each group so please be mindful that all groups are sharing this same time.
6:30 pm: INFORMAL SHOWCASE (STAGE) Festival Faculty adjudicating the Informal Showcase: Angela Gallo, Leymis Bolanos-Wilmott, Rachael Inman, Kirby Reed, Kris Cangelosi
SATURDAY 8:45 am: FESTIVAL ANNOUNCEMENTS (All Festival Registrants should be seated in the audience of the theater)

CLASS 2, 10:45 am-12:00 noon: three parallel classes
LUNCH 12:00 noon - 1:00 pm Lunchtime Workshop: Nutrition and Injury Prevention -led by Evie Belton fitness guru, personal trainer, fitness consultant and VDC founder/ Executive Director
CLASS 3, 1:00-2:30 pm: three parallel classes
CLASS 4, 2:45-4:00 pm: three parallel classes
7:00pm: Dimensions, FESTIVAL GALA PERFORMANCE
Join us for an amazing dance performance featuring your host Vibrations Dance Company as well as Sapphire Moon Dance Company (Columbia), Jhe Russell and Carolyn Bolton (Columbia), Coker College Dance Company, and special guests Peaceful Warriors (Costa Rica), Fuzion Dance Artists (Sarasota) and Cangelosi Dance Project (Baton Rouge)
