Columbia, SC father and daughter among national talent winners to be featured at AmericanGospel.tv Showcase September 7, 2008 in Charlotte, NC
Columbia, SC, August 12, 2008 - Kenneth Williams, 44, and daughter Michelle Rivera, 25, of Columbia, SC will have the opportunity to share their singing talents with over 1,000 people at the Big Gospel Explosion Showcase in Charlotte, NC on September 7, 2008. The showcase, hosted by AmericanGospel.tv, a talent search company based in Orlando, Florida, will feature some of the best Gospel talent in North and South Carolina. Soloist’s Williams and Rivera are among the Gospel singers, choirs, dancers, rappers, poets and comedians that won the AmericanGospel.tv national talent search.
When asked how she felt about competing against her father in the talent showcase, Rivera answered, “My father and I are grateful for this awesome opportunity to share our gifts with so many people. It’s not about winning for us; we just pray that someone’s heart is touched by the message of God’s love and redemption through our songs.”
The American Gospel Showcase will be held at the Marriott, Charlotte Executive Park, 5700 West Park Drive, Charlotte, NC 28217 on Sunday, September 7, 2008. Shows will be at: 2:30pm, 5:00pm and 7:30pm. Williams and Rivera will perform at the 2:30pm show. Tickets are $20 or $30 for all three shows. There are group discounts and children under six years old are free.
Winners of the showcase will receive an all-expense paid trip to Orlando,
Florida to open for a National Artist TBA at Powerfest Orlando 2008 will be held
on October 11, 2008 at the Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium. Winners will also
receive $1,000 in spending money, VIP treatment, live recording of performance
and a chance to appear on American Gospel’s reality television pilot.
